The Cohiba Behike line—widely considered the most coveted cigar series in the world—is expanding with a larger addition: the Cohiba Behike BHK 58. Officially unveiled this morning, the new cigar will be handed out later this week during Cuba’s Habanos Festival.
Measuring 7 inches long with a hefty 58 ring gauge, the BHK 58 becomes both the thickest and longest cigar in the Behike lineup, surpassing the previous largest, the BHK 56, which measured 6 1/2 inches.
This release also debuts the next generation of Behike packaging, featuring sleek footbands that display the vitola’s name. But the updates go beyond aesthetics—the packaging now incorporates anti-counterfeiting measures, including identification codes and embedded chip technology in the bands. As with previous Behikes, they will be sold in boxes of 10.
Rolled at Havana’s renowned El Laguito Factory, the BHK 58 features the signature pigtail cap and includes rare medio tiempo leaves—powerful tobaccos that grow atop only select plants.
