Carlos & Maria is a “sister brand” to Freud Cigar Company. While it’s sold by Freud Cigar Company, Carlos & Maria appears to be a very classic style. Amorio translates to “love affair” and the theme of the brand seems to be focused on romance. The first release, the Carlos & Maria Amorío, is a regular production line that is produced by Wiber Ventura at the El Maestro factory in the Dominican Republic. The blend features an Ecuadorian habano-seed wrapper, an Indonesia-grown Sumatra-seed wrapper, and a filler that contains Nicaraguan seco, Ecudaorian habano visos, Dominican San Vicente ligero, and criollo 98 visos of undisclosed origin.
